Phase and Polarity
By Editor's Desk on April 8 2010 07:30 PM | Permalink | Author Info
The Independent Recording Network has published a new free online tutorial about the meaning of phase and polarity, how they affect our audio recordings, and what we can do about them. Loaded with illustrations whole avoiding difficult math, this new tutorial is one of the most  comprehensive and easy-to-understand treatises of the fundamentals available online.

Following up on the wildly successful "Compression Uncompressed" online tutorial,  "Phase and Polarity" is the second in our "Audio Engineering Notebook Series" of compact, online hyperbooklets, and offers six chapters of information containing some 20 detailed illustrations on 21 different topics from DC offset to phase and the stereo image.

Check out "Phase and Polarity", along with all our other interactive online resources by clicking the "Resources" tab on the menu bar at the top of each of our webpages.
